June House Project Notes

Near Final Grade

To reduce the chance of hitting the framing and while the big bulldozer was on site Bill McKee did a lot of the grading. While not final, it is very close.

Moving Dirt

One problem was where to put all the dirt that is left over. Some went into the center section to improve the ground there. We hiope to eventually plant this with grass.

Moving Dirt

Some was put down a washed out lane from the house to the barn.

Moving Dirt

The back of the house now has a swale ditch to move the water from the orchard around the house rather than underneath it.

The east side also slopes down. Here is where one side of the deck will be.

East Side

The front entrance is starting to take shape now.

Here is what it looks like after the dirst had been spread in the center of the driveway.
